Switching from GrowthZone or ChamberMaster

Your members come with you. We do the mapping.

Leaving GrowthZone or ChamberMaster? You export one spreadsheet, upload it here, and our AI figures out which column is what. There's a full preview before anything saves, no duplicates, and a one-click undo. Most chambers are moved in an afternoon.

See how it works โ†’
The whole move, in three steps

Export, upload, go live.

No week of spreadsheet surgery, no data-migration invoice with a comma in it. Here's the entire process.

Step 1

Export a CSV

Pull your members and contacts out of your current system. It's a built-in report โ€” you don't need the vendor's permission or a special plan.

Step 2

Upload it here

Drop the file into Chamber Culture. Our AI reads your columns and maps them to the right fields automatically โ€” you just review.

Step 3

Preview, then go live

Check the create-versus-update counts, confirm, and you're running. Something look off? One click puts it back.

Step 1 ยท get your data out

Export your members and contacts

Your member data belongs to your chamber. Every plan can export it โ€” here's where the button is. Don't worry about column names or order; the next step sorts that out.

ChamberMaster

Owned by GrowthZone. One export gets every member and their primary rep.

  1. Sign in to your ChamberMaster admin (the staff back office).
  2. Open the Members module, then Reports.
  3. Run the "Member and Rep Export" โ€” it puts every member organization and its main contact in one file.
  4. Download it as CSV (or Excel โ€” either is fine).
  5. If it came down as .xlsx, open it in Excel or Google Sheets and use File โ†’ Save As / Download โ†’ CSV.

GrowthZone

Contact-centric, so pull organizations and people โ€” we stitch them back together on import.

  1. Sign in to GrowthZone (the staff back office).
  2. Go to Contacts and switch to the list / grid view.
  3. Open the Column Chooser and add the fields you care about: name, address, email, phone, membership type, and join or renewal date.
  4. Export the list to Excel. Run it once for Organizations and once for Individuals (your reps).
  5. Save each file as CSV.

On Wild Apricot, MemberClicks, Glue Up, or a pile of spreadsheets instead? Same idea โ€” export a CSV and the rest of this page works exactly the same.

Step 2 ยท the part everyone dreads, gone

Upload it, and the AI maps every column for you

This is where migrations usually turn into a week of spreadsheet surgery. Not here. When you upload your file at Imports โ†’ New import, Chamber Culture reads your headers and a few sample rows and proposes the whole mapping โ€” "Business Name" becomes the member, "Primary Contact Email" becomes the rep's email, "Renew Date" becomes the renewal. You just review it and adjust anything you like. It works even when your columns are named nothing like ours, and it never invents a field that isn't really there.

What actually moves

Everything that matters, and honesty about the rest

Comes over automatically

  • Member organizations โ€” name, status, industry / category, address, phone, website, member-since date
  • Contacts and reps โ€” first & last name, title, email, phone, and email opt-out status
  • Membership tier and renewal date โ€” every renewal is kept so nothing lapses by accident
  • Tags โ€” a comma-separated list in any column becomes real tags
  • Your custom fields โ€” map any leftover column to a custom member or contact field

We bring these over with you

Not in the self-serve upload yet, so we handle them by hand as part of a guided move.

  • Event history and registrations
  • Invoices and billing history
  • Files, logos, and documents

We'd rather say "we'll do that one for you" than pretend a button does it. Ask us โ€” it's included in most guided migrations.

Step 3 ยท nothing saves until you say so

Preview it, then commit โ€” or undo

Every import runs as a dry-run preview first. You see exactly how many members and contacts will be created versus updated, and any rows that need a second look โ€” all before a single record is written. Confirm when it looks right. Change your mind afterward? One-click rollback removes exactly what that import added and leaves everything else alone.

Guided migration

Or hand it to us and skip the whole thing

Send us your export โ€” or let us get on a call and pull it with you โ€” and we'll run the migration, check the mapping, and hand you a clean account ready to go. Guided migrations run $0 to $1,000 depending on the data. Legacy vendors charge thousands to do less.

Straight answers on switching

Migration questions, answered

What if GrowthZone or ChamberMaster won't let me leave?

Your member data belongs to your chamber, not to the vendor. Every ChamberMaster and GrowthZone admin can export it directly from the reports or contacts screens above โ€” you do not need the vendor's permission or a special plan for a CSV export. If you get stuck finding the button, send us what you can and we'll hop on a screen-share and pull it with you.

Do I have to line up the spreadsheet columns myself?

No. When you upload your file, Chamber Culture's AI reads your column headers and a few sample rows and proposes the whole mapping for you โ€” member name here, rep email there, renewal date over here. You just review it and adjust anything you want before continuing. It works even if your columns are named nothing like ours.

Will importing create duplicate members?

No. Members are matched by organization name and contacts by email address within your chamber. If a record already exists it is updated, not duplicated. You see the exact create-versus-update counts before anything is saved.

Can I undo an import if it looks wrong?

Yes. Nothing is written until you confirm the preview, and every import has a one-click rollback that removes exactly what that import created. Records that were already in your account are left untouched.

What file types can I upload?

A .csv, .tsv, or .txt file up to 10 MB. If your export opened in Excel as an .xlsx, use File โ†’ Save As โ†’ CSV first. Commas, semicolons, or tabs all work, and Chamber Culture handles the odd character encodings that exports sometimes have.

How long does the whole migration take?

For most chambers, an afternoon. The export takes a few minutes, the upload and AI mapping are instant, and the preview lets you confirm everything before it goes live. Larger or messier data just means a little more review time. If you'd rather not touch it, we run guided migrations for $0 to $1,000 depending on the data.

Ready to bring your chamber over?

Start your account, upload your export, and watch your members land in Chamber Culture. Your data, your timeline โ€” and we're right here if you want a hand.
